To receive care on the basis of clinical need. To receive a detailed explanation of your condition, treatment plan and aftercare, in terms that are clear in order to ensure that you can fully understand your condition and treatment. To receive emergency medical care and treatment easily and efficiently. To a second opinion or to have your care transferred to another physician, if you wish. To be referred to a specialist/consultant for special care when there is a clinical need. To choose your pharmaceutical care provider. To have drug therapy monitored for safety and efficacy, as well as to have reasonable efforts made to detect and prevent drug allergies, adverse reactions or contraindications. To be provided with Arabic and English interpreter services. Other languages will be accommodated based upon availability of translation resources. To appropriate care and protection if you are a child, disabled, elderly or vulnerable. To care at the end of your life which is respectful and compassionate. RESPECT To be treated with dignity and respect, consistent with the utmost professional standards regardless of form of payment, race, gender, nationality, religion, culture, disability or any other factor. To have any complaint acknowledged, fully investigated, and to be provided with a written response as per the facility policy. To be protected from physical assault during your visit or stay. To participate in decision making about your drugs and treatment choices. PRIVACY To privacy during examinations, procedures, clinical care and treatment; and the right to know who is in attendance. To have all clinical and pharmaceutical records kept fully updated and relevant, information fully documented and personal details and records kept confidential and protected from loss and misuse. INFORMATION To access your medical records and information. To receive relevant, current and understandable information concerning prescribed drugs and treatment. To discuss and request information related to your specific drug therapy, possible adverse side effects and drug interactions. To receive verbal and written information about proposed treatment and be informed of alternatives treatments. To monitor compliance of treatment and proper drug use, as well as remedial interventions when necessary. To know our mission statement and the type of services that we provide. To informed consent for treatment, procedures, interventions, as per HAAD Consent Policy (Reference PPR/HCP/P0003/07) Healthpoint patients and their families are responsible to: To present a valid ID, medical and insurance card at every visit. To follow the rules and regulations of the facility. To be respectful and courteous to the staff. To avoid using abusive language and/or display unsocial behavior to other patients, visitors or staff. To show consideration for other patients’ needs. To use the facility services appropriately. To provide accurate information about your personal details and past medical history, including current treatments, medications, history of allergy or allergic reaction to any medication. To safeguard any belongings you wish to keep in your possession during your visit and/or stay at the facility. To inform medical staff if you have any special requirements for discharge and be prepared to go home or to another facility once medically discharged from the hospital. To accept responsibility for your own actions if you decide not to follow your healthcare provider’s instructions, recommendations and/or treatment plans. To keep your outpatient appointments and inform the clinic in advance if you are unable to attend. To be accountable for the payment of the services provided by the facility.
