Dr. Syed has more than 15 years of experience in Clinical Radiology.
Dr. Syed obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Aligarh Muslim University, India, in 1998. He then underwent postgraduate training in radiodiagnosis at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital (affiliated with Aligarh Muslim University), India, from 2000 – 2003, leading to his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Radio Diagnosis certification in 2003. Dr. Syed moved to the UK to pursue extensive medical training, eventually specializing in Clinical Radiology at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, Health Education England, United Kingdom from 2007 to 2012, including the musculoskeletal fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, UK. Dr. Syed was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) after completing his training.
Dr. Syed has been a Member of the Royal College of Physicians UK since 2006 and a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, UK since 2010. In addition to his clinical work, he is involved in the radiology training for junior doctors and radiographers and was the training program director for the Leicester Radiology Training Scheme, UK.
Prior to joining Healthpoint, Dr. Syed held a position as a Consultant in Musculoskeletal Radiology at the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, United Kingdom. Additionally, he operated a private practice at both Woodlands Hospital in Kettering and Spire Leicester Hospital in the UK.
Dr. Syed specializes in diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, from acute soft tissue and bone injuries to chronic ailments like arthritis and spinal disorders. He employs cutting-edge techniques and evidence-based practices to provide innovative and personalized treatment solutions. With a focus on back problems, including chronic lower back pain, Dr. Syed excels in identifying and addressing spinal issues, performing intricate procedures guided by advanced imaging modalities such as CT scans and X-rays.
Dr. Syed's expertise encompasses comprehensive diagnosis and imaging of musculoskeletal conditions, utilizing modalities such as X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI scans. He specializes in minimally invasive treatments tailored to each patient’s needs. Additionally, Dr. Syed is an expert in imaging and managing soft tissue and bone sarcomas, as well as conducting cancer tests. He is proficient in administering treatments for joint pain, including joint injections, and conducting ultrasound examinations of small joints in the hands and feet.
