The Specialists at Healthpoint’s Ear, Nose and Throat Department (ENT) offer a full range of medical and surgical services for pediatric and adult patients with head and neck disorders and diseases with the aim to improve our patients’ hearing and breathing, and overall quality of life.​​

Healthpoint’s integrated healthcare approach allows our ENT Department physicians to work closely together with other specialties, especially Pediatrics, Dermatology, and our Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery department allowing us to provide comprehensive and optimal care for hundreds of patients ​annually.

If surgery is required we have fully equipped operating theatres onsite and luxurious private rooms for you to recover in comfort and start healing quickly.

Our ENT Department treats the full range of Ear, Nose and Throat conditions including problems involving the neck and mouth. This includes consultations and investigations for:

  • Cancers of the mouth, throat and neck
  • Dry mouth and ulcers
  • Ear infections and other common ENT problems in adults and children

  • Fibreoptic video-endoscopy of the throat and voicebox is available at all sites

Otorhinolaryngology (ENT):

Otology (ear problems)

  • Tympanoplasty (replacement of ear drum and ossicles)
  • Middle ear ossicles reconstruction (e.g. CO2-laser stapes surgery)
  • Removal of external ear canal stenosis
  • Reconstruction of middle ear (Cholesteatoma surgery)
  • Cochlear Implant Surgery

Pediatric Otology

  • Foreign body extraction
  • Paracentesis (cut in to the ear drum)
  • Insertion of ventilation tubes
  • Myringoplasty (replacement of ear drum)
  • Pediatric Cochlear Implant Surgery

Audiology Lab (assessment and treatment of hearing loss)

  • Audiometry (hearing test)
  • Tympanometry (middle ear pressure test)
  • ABR (auditory brainstem response) = hearing test for newborns etc.
  • Otoacustic emissions (testing of cells for hearing)
  • Hearing aid fitting and maintenance

Vestibular lab (assessment of dizziness, imbalance and vertigo) + development of treatment plan

  • Video-Nystagmo-Graphy (VNG) and Head Impulse Test (HIT)
  • Caloric (temperature) testing of the balance system
  • Rotary chair (to be available soon) for the purpose of rotational testing of the inner ear or neurological system

Rhinology (nose and sinus problems)

  • Septoplasty (correction/straightening of nasal wall)
  • Turbinoplasty (reduction of nasal turbinates)
  • Sinus surgery (operation of nasal sinuses)
  • Polypectomy (removal of nasal polyps)
  • Orbital decompression (Grave’s Disease)
  • Treatment of nose bleeding (epistaxis)

Throat/Laryngology (fiber endoscopic assessment)

  • Tonsillectomy (removal of tonsils)
  • Adenoidectomy (removal of adenoids)
  • Microlaryngoscopic removal of nodules/polyps with or without laser
  • Vocal cord surgery
  • Excision of mucosal change in the oral cavity
  • Ablation of vascular anomalies with laser

Facial Plastic Surgery

  • Septorhinoplasty (correction of cartilaginous and bony nasal structures)
  • Pinnaplasty/Otoplasty (correction of protruding ears)

Head and Neck

  • Biopsy/Excision of lymph nodes (neck dissection)
  • ​Excision of cysts (lateral and medial branchial cysts, Ranula)
  • Excision of pre-auricular tag and fistula.
  • Excision of vascular malformations in the neck.
  • Tracheostomy (direct air way incision)
  • Salivary gland surgery (parotid gland, submandibular gland)
  • Thyroid and parathyroid gland surgery

Treatment of obstructive sleep disorders

  • Soft palate surgery (with or without laser)
  • Turbinoplasty (reduction of nasal turbinates)
  • Septoplasty (correction/straightening of nasal wall)
  • Drug induced sleep endoscopy (assessment of obstructive sleep disorders)
