Pharmacist

Overall Job Summary

Pharmacists are responsible for the compound and dispense of medications following prescriptions issued by the authorized medical practitioners.

Main Responsibilities

  • Handle the pharmacy’s day-to-day operations.
  • Dispense medication.
  • Initiate and maintain continuing monitoring of patient waiting time.
  • Ensure and maintain high standards of dispensing to meet operational standards and policies.
  • Handle patient feedback on dispensing services and quality service standards.
  • Assist the Chief Pharmacist in achieving targeted sales revenue.
  • Provide supervision, training and development to the technician and retail team.
  • Provide support on the Pharmacy logistics.

Other/Clinical Responsibilities

  • Cover the role of Chief Pharmacist during his/her absence.
  • Promote effective communication strategies and maintain good interdepartmental liaison.
  • Attend and participate in regular departmental activities, meetings and/or reports.
  • Maintain an appropriate level of continuous professional developments.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest modern developments.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Minimum B.Sc. degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a hospital environment.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a hospital environment.
  • DOH License

 

Preferred:

  • Preferably worked in a JCI accredited hospital/medical centre.
