The accreditation is considered the gold standard in global healthcare and recognizes Healthpoint’s commitment to world-class services. Healthpoint, part of Mubadala’s network of world-class healthcare providers, joins its sister companies Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and Imperial College London Diabetes Centre in claiming this international accreditation.
The medical staff and physicians at Healthpoint joined efforts to assist the JCI auditors in policies and procedures assessment, survey implementation, preparatory activities and staff training. Involving 21 medical clinics and departments, plus all supporting departments and services, the stringent evaluation was carried out across medical services, medical management, hospital environment and leadership.
The Joint Commission International improves the quality of patient care by assisting international healthcare organizations. For patients, a JCI accreditation means Healthpoint ensures a safe environment that reduces risks for both caregivers and care recipients. Also, there are now quantifiable benchmarks for quality and patient safety, a standard and reliable process that is stimulated, demonstrated continuously, and improvements that are sustained. Most of all, the JCI accreditation allows for enhancing efficiency and reduces costs through standardized care resulting to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
Suhail Mahmood Al Ansari, Chairman of Healthpoint and Executive Director of Mubadala Healthcare, said: “Our compassionate and dedicated team strives to consistently provide excellent healthcare of the highest quality standards, in line with the UAE vision 2021 to achieve a world-class healthcare system. As an integrated, super-specialty practice hospital, Healthpoint helps to address some of the Emirates’ most pressing healthcare needs, and achieving JCI accreditation is an essential step in showing our community that we meet international standards.”
