Dr. Maryam joined Healthpoint as a Dental Hygienist in 2017 after completing her internship at the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) - Primary Healthcare Centers & RAK Dental Center in the UAE. She attained her bachelor’s degree in applied science in dental hygiene (BAScDH) at Higher Colleges of Technology, Sharjah Women's College.
Evaluation of patient’s current health status; comprehensive dental and periodontal charting; ultrasonic and manual scaling; rubber cup and air abrasion polishing; fluoride application, dental sealants, dental bleaching; impression and model preparation; hypersensitivity treatment; dental radiographs; oral hygiene advice; infection control procedures; dental equipment maintenance and sterilization; special care for people of determination.
Dr. Maryam is a certified Special Smiles Clinical Director for Special Olympics UAE and a ‘Laughter Yoga’ Leader. She has attended numerous regional workshops and seminars, covering all aspects of dental hygiene. She also holds several Certificates of Appreciation, including volunteering in the 2018 International Day of Persons with Disabilities campaign organized by MOHAP in Ras Al Khaimah.
